Crimson Muskflower

This small flower grows up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. Its green stem is thin, and the huge, yellow-green leaves are thick with rounded edges. The leaves grow from the base and are the same length as the stem.

Two giant flowers sit at the end of each stem. The flowers are 9 cm (3.5 inches) wide, with crimson petals and a red central disk. The flower head is largely flat with dozens of widely spaced round-tipped petals. They are sturdy.

It has a delicate scent that smells like musk, and it has very little pollen. It is pollinated by insects , but only one species in particular.
