Violet Sickleflower
Flower type: Biennial (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This short flower grows up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. Its brown stem is very thick, and the giant, moss green leaves are sickle shaped with irregular edges. The leaves grow from the base and are the same length as the stem.
Each stem splits 6 to 11 times; a single medium-sized flower grows at the end of each split. The flowers are 2 cm (0.8 inches) wide, with petals that are violet on the underside and ashy red on the top. The flower head is made up of several petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight star. They fall easily.
It has an intense scent that smells like sweat, and it has very little pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions. It is pollinated by a small species of bird and is ignored by most insect species.
