Violet Peach Tree

Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This short fruit tree grows up to 7 feet (2.1 meters) tall and lives for up to 10 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 25 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a wide, straight trunk covered in fine, rough, dark gray bark, and inside, the soft wood is burgundy-brown.

The branches trail down to the ground and are covered with sparse amounts of miniature, thick leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are generally gentle blue.

In early spring, it produces thick bunches of giant, ashy orange blossoms with long, narrow petals. They are very delicate and have a scent that varies in strength that smells like sugar.

In early autumn it produces very large, oblong fruit. The smooth violet skin is thick and overwhelmingly sweet, and the soft peach flesh is sweet and bitter and very juicy. The red seed is large and sits at the end of the fruit.

The roots are shallow and grow straight down, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.

It absorbs an exceptionally large amount of water each day.
It is suitable for making strong rope
