Clinging Pine
Tree type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This short tree grows up to 4 meters (13.1 feet) tall and lives for over 2,000 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 2290 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a branched, straight trunk covered in knobbly, light brown bark, and inside, the very hard wood is black with white speckles.
The branches are very short and slender, with thousands of twigs covered with large amounts of large, orange-yellow needles. The needles themselves are delicate.
In late summer it produces medium-sized, orange, spiky-shelled seeds.
The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.
Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with grassy ground between them.
It releases hallucinogenic smoke when burned.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
