Clinging Skyflower

Flower type: Annual (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This short flower grows up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. Its brown stem is thin and straight with a curved tip, and the giant, emerald leaves are very thick with smooth edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.

A single small flower sits at the end of the stem. The flowers are 6 cm (2.4 inches) wide, with sky blue petals that gradient shift to dark yellow on the outer edge. The central disk is orange. The flower head is made up of 12 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight heart. They detach easily.

It has an intensely strong scent that smells like marzipan, and it has copious amounts of pollen. It is pollinated by a small species of bird.

It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
