Silverwood

Tree type: Coniferous (Stores water in its stem)

This average-sized tree grows up to 45 meters (147.6 feet) tall and lives for over 1,000 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 1643 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a thick, slanted trunk covered in very thick, waxy, silver and white bark, and inside, the dense wood is pale brown.

The small bunches of branches are short stubs, with thousands of twigs covered with handfuls of huge, emerald needles. The needles themselves are strong and tough.

In late summer it produces tiny, brown, winged seeds that float and land far away.

The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with grassy ground between them.

All parts of the grass are edible.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
