Clinging Silverbloom

Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This small tree grows up to 6 meters (19.7 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 698 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a thick, angular trunk covered in ridged, silver and white bark, and inside, the soft wood is black.

The excessive amount of branches are short stubs and are covered with large amounts of clammy, huge, sickle shaped leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are crimson on the sides and lilac at the center.

In early spring, it produces several giant, muted green blossoms with perforated petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They detach easily and have a delicate scent that smells like honeysuckle.

In late summer it forms tiny, pink berries.

The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with the space between filled with undergrowth.

The bark is frequently covered in moss.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
