Coilwood Tree
Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This small tree grows up to 3 meters (9.8 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 259 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.
It has a long and flexible, straight trunk covered in very thick, cracked, yellow-brown bark, and inside, the soft wood is pale brown-grey.
The tangled mess of branches are short, rigid and upright and are covered with large amounts of fuzzy, tiny, slender, pointed leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are peach and lilac.
In late summer it forms small, light grey, winged seeds that float and land far away.
The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with clear space between them.
