Copperbark Tree

Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This short tree grows up to 3 meters (9.8 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 320 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a wide, twisting trunk covered in fine, knobbly, yellow bark, and inside, the hard wood is copper-coloured.

The numerous branches trail down to the ground and are covered with sparse amounts of clammy, small, wide leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are blue and florescent green.

In late summer it forms medium-sized, white aril (seeds with fleshy covers).

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with grassy ground between them.

Several parts of the leaf succulent have medicinal properties.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
