Clinging Fir

Tree type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This large tree grows up to 89 meters (292.0 feet) tall and lives for over 1,000 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 1440 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a sturdy, wavy trunk covered in thick, waxy, gray bark, and inside, the flexible wood is yellow-brown.

The abundance of branches are very long and thin, with thousands of twigs covered with copious amounts of small, lime green needles. The needles themselves are resilient.

In late summer it produces giant, red, tough-shelled seeds.

The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with clear space between them.
