Vinebloom

Flower type: Annual (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This massive flower grows up to 7.6 feet (2.3 meters) tall. Its lime green stem is wispy and straight, and the tiny, yellow-green leaves are thick with wavy edges. Many leaves grow at the base of the stem, and a pair of leaves grow at the base of the flower head.

A single large flower sits at the end of each stem. The flowers are 45 cm (17.7 inches) wide, with petals that are lilac on the underside and cream on the top. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 33 curved petals. They detach easily.

It has an intense scent that smells like paint, and it has copious amounts of pollen; it does not cause many allergic reactions. It is pollinated by the wind, but is also particularly attractive to bees.

It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
It absorbs an exceptionally large amount of water each day.
