Ambervine
Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This modest-sized bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 44 feet (13.4 meters) and growing as high as 123 feet (37.5 meters).
It takes 19 months for the grey stems to mature, by which point they have tangled themselves into thick mats with a diameter of 4 inches (10 cm) and are rough and woody.
The long, narrow, smooth leaves reach up to 1.1 feet (33 cm) in length. They are a shade of burgundy that gradient shifts to amber at the top, and have ripped edges.
During late spring, the bine produces lots of tiny pink flowers.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
