Clinging Emerald

Flower type: Annual (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This average-sized flower grows up to 10 inches (25 cm) tall. Its emerald stems grow from the base of the plant in bunches of 5 and are thick and straight, and split into several branching stems three quarters of the way up, and the miniature, lime green leaves are wispy with wavy edges. Many leaves grow at the base of the stem, and a pair of leaves grow at the base of the flower head.

Two medium-sized flowers sit at the end of each stem. The flowers are 46 cm (18.1 inches) wide, with solid light grey petals decorated with brown dots and a indigo central disk. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 11 petals. They detach easily.

It has a delicate scent that smells like glue, and it has lots of pollen, but it does not cause many allergic reactions. It is a self-pollinator.

The grains are bitter, but very healthy and are suitable for boiling.
