Clinging Goldfern
Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This big tree grows up to 66 meters (216.5 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 232 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.
It has a very thick, straight trunk covered in hard, waxy, yellow bark, and inside, the very dense wood is pale brown-grey.
The branches are long and thin and are covered with small bunches of rough, tiny, very thick leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are found in gold, bronze and gold varieties.
In late summer it forms small, red, tough-shelled seeds.
The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with clear space between them.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
