Copper Petal
Flower type: Annual (Evergreen - keeps its leaves all year round)This average-sized flower grows up to 1.3 feet (38 cm) tall. Its orange stems grow from the base of the plant in bunches of 3 and are wispy and straight, and split into many branching stems a quarter of the way up, and the small, copper leaves are thin with toothed edges. The leaves grow from the base and are the same length as the stem.
Two small flowers sit at the end of the stem. The flowers are 11 cm (4.3 inches) wide, with solid gentle red petals decorated with cream lines and a white central disk. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 50 curved petals. They are hardy.
It has the faintest scent that smells like cheese, and it has a fair amount of pollen; it can cause allergic reactions. It is pollinated by a small species of bird, but is also particularly attractive to bees.
It is possible to grow it from cuttings.
