Blue Creeper

Climbing plant type: Creeper (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This average-sized creeper is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 36 feet (11.0 meters) and growing as high as 46 feet (14.0 meters).

It takes 16 months for the yellow-green stems to mature, by which point they have tangled themselves into thick mats with a diameter of 2 inches (5 cm) and are tough and woody.

The slender, pointed, waxy leaves reach up to 1.2 feet (36 cm) in length. They are beige and cream, and have tattered edges.

During late spring, the creeper produces thousands of large dull blue flowers, and during the early autumn, after flowering, it produces excessive amounts of tiny fruits.
