Crimson Petal

This small flower grows up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. Its hazel stem is wispy and straight, and the huge, lime green leaves are dark pink-red on the underside and are pleated with smooth edges. The leaves alternate on the stem from about halfway up, up to the flower head.

Two small flowers sit at the end of the stem. The flowers are 3 cm (1.2 inches) wide, with petals that are crimson on the underside and gentle yellow on the top. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 20 curved petals. They are very delicate.

It has an intense scent that smells like rich perfume, and it has very little pollen. It is pollinated by the wind.
