Blackvine

Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This small tree grows up to 3 meters (9.8 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 613 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a flexible, straight trunk covered in paper-thin, rough, black with white speckled bark, and inside, the very light wood is black with white speckles.

The small bunches of branches are long and thin and are covered with very large amounts of clammy, giant, circular leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are white and crimson.

In early spring, it produces copious amounts of medium-sized, cyan blossoms with many layers of petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They are sturdy and have an overpowering scent that smells like rotten meat.

In late summer it forms tiny, muted red, spiky-shelled seeds.

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with clear space between them.

It is suitable for making strong rope
