Brownvine
Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This short tree grows up to 3 meters (9.8 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 52 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.
It has a knobbly, angular trunk covered in very thick, cracked, dark brown bark, and inside, the hard wood is white.
The tangled mess of branches trail down across the ground and are covered with very large amounts of clammy, huge, spear shaped leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are found in muted green, brown and light brown varieties.
In early spring, it produces many bunches of medium-sized, slate blossoms with fan-like petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They fall easily and have a powerful scent that smells like a man.
In late summer it forms large, silver, spiky-shelled seeds.
The roots are shallow and widely spread, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
It blooms only at night.
