Crimson Vine

This short vine is a very fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 14 feet (4.3 meters) and growing as high as 458 feet (139.6 meters).

It takes 9 months for the cream stems to mature, by which point they sometimes have a diameter of 3 cm (1.2 inches) and are flat and wavy.

The needle-like, crispy leaves reach up to 3 inches (8 cm) in length. They are found in peach and red varieties, and have tattered edges.

During late spring, the vine produces dozens of small purple flowers.
