Copperbell

Flower type: Perennial (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This colossal flower grows up to 12.6 feet (3.8 meters) tall. Its silver stem is wispy and splits into dozens of branching stems a quarter of the way up, and the miniature, moss green leaves are sickle shaped with smooth edges. The leaves alternate on the stem from about halfway up, up to the flower head.

Two large flowers sit at the end of the stem. The flowers are 69 cm (27.2 inches) wide, with solid copper petals and a dull purple central disk. The flower head is shaped like a trumpet with 32 widely spaced, round-tipped petals. They fall easily.

It has a delicate scent that smells like candle wax, and it has lots of pollen. It is pollinated by the wind.

It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
every part of the cactus is slightly toxic.
