Copperleaf

Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in its stem)

This small tree grows up to 3 meters (9.8 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 372 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a branched, crooked trunk covered in silky, copper-coloured bark, and inside, the light wood is mahogany-coloured.

The small bunches of branches trail down towards the ground and are covered with sparse amounts of smooth, large, wide leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are turquoise on the sides and pink at the center.

In late summer it forms giant, silver, tough-shelled seeds.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with grassy ground between them.

It is suitable for making strong rope
