Cyanwood

Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This small tree grows up to 3 meters (9.8 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 176 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a wide, curved trunk covered in very thick, ridged, brown-green bark, and inside, the soft wood is mahogany-coloured.

The small handful of branches trail down to the ground and are covered with copious amounts of sticky, miniature, spear shaped leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are grey and cyan.

In late summer it forms giant, vivid green, spiky-shelled seeds.

The roots are shallow and widely spread, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with patches of undergrowth between them.

It usually houses a colony of beneficial insects.
The sap causes severe rashes
