Aurora Willow
Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in its leaves)This short tree grows up to 5 meters (16.4 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 571 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.
It has a narrow, straight trunk covered in thick, smooth, yellow bark, and inside, the very light wood is gray.
The excessive amount of branches are short stubs and are covered with small amounts of fuzzy, giant, broad, flat leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are either lime, or white with black dots.
In early spring, it produces large amounts of medium-sized, beige blossoms with triangular shaped petals. They detach easily and have a fairly strong scent that smells like lavender.
In late summer it forms medium-sized, subtle orange, winged seeds that spin and fall nearby.
The roots are shallow and widely spread, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
