Lime Green Trumpet Flower

This large flower grows up to 3.9 feet (1.2 meters) tall. Its lime green stem is thin, and the giant, vibrant green and yellow leaves are wide with serrated edges. Many leaves grow at the base of the stem, and more leaves grow in pairs along the length of the stem.

A single giant flower sits at the end of the stem. The flowers are 45 cm (17.7 inches) wide, with petals that are either blue or orange, with a yellow center. The flower head is shaped like a trumpet made up of 9 tightly layered, narrow petals. They are hardy.

It has a faint scent that smells like wet dog, and it has very little pollen; it can cause allergic reactions. It is pollinated by insects and is particularly attractive to a specific species.
