Silverweed

This big shrub grows up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall and lives for around 10 years. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has several long and flexible, crooked stems covered in rough, black with white speckled bark, and the wood inside is light brown.

The branches trail down towards the ground that and are covered with thick bunches of miniature, finger-like, leaves with rounded edges. The leaves themselves are either purple, or silver with gold streaks, tough and smooth.

It produces copious amounts of large, caramel flowers with pleated petals. They are hardy and have an overpowering scent that smells like musk. In late spring it forms smallmuted orange seed pods.
