Burgundy Ashfruit Tree
Fruit Tree type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This massive fruit tree grows up to 52 feet (15.8 meters) tall and lives for up to 25 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 62 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a sturdy, crooked trunk covered in waxy, black bark, and inside, the very light wood is burgundy.
The abundance of branches are very long and thick and are covered with very large amounts of miniature, V-shaped leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are cream with violet tips.
In early spring, it produces dozens of giant, gold blossoms with stiff, pointed petals with a tube-like floral cup. They detach easily and have a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like ashes.
In late autumn it produces tiny, 4 pointed fruit. The sticky washed-out green skin is delicate and sweet, and the very soft bronze flesh is salty and syrupy. The lime seeds are tiny and are bunched at the bottom of the fruit.
The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with grassy ground between them.
It is suitable for making strong rope
every part of the bine is slightly toxic.
