Crimson Grass
Grass type: Annual (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This small, red grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The very thin stalks grow in thin clumps that are light and frail and they spread and grow quickly.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a large, violet spikelet.
During the mid-autumn, it produces very little pollen, and after flowering, it is left with lots of small grains.
It is often home to a particular bird species.
It grows well in the sun and full shade.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
