Beigeberry

Fruit Tree type: Coniferous (Sheds its leaves in winter)

This small fruit tree grows up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall and lives for up to 10 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 25 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a stocky, twisting trunk covered in thick, knobbly, brown-green speckled bark, and inside, the light wood is yellow-brown.

The small bunches of branches are short and thick and are covered with large amounts of huge, thick leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are generally beige.

In early spring, it produces large amounts of medium-sized, pastel red blossoms with sickle shaped petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They fall easily and have a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like a woman.

In mid-autumn it produces large, long, tapering fruit. The smooth white skin is tough and edible when cooked; it is bitter and salty, and the very soft lime flesh is bitter and very dry. The drab orange seed is very large and is in the centre of the fruit.

The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with grassy ground between them.

It can survive a very long time without water.
It out-competes most other plants for nutrients and light.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
