Crimson Puffgrass

Grass type: Biennial (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This modest-sized, pink-red grass grows up to 3 feet (91.4 cm) tall. The long, narrow stalks grow in extensive patches that are strong and they overwhelm an area rapidly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a small, hazel puff.

During the late autumn, it produces lots of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with lots of small grains.

It can grow in even the most barren lands.
It is suitable for making paper
