Amber

Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This small tree grows up to 4 meters (13.1 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 384 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a branched, straight trunk covered in very thick, smooth, brown-green speckled bark, and inside, the dense wood is burgundy.

The branches are short, thin and wispy and are covered with sparse amounts of waxy, miniature, very thick leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are slate at the bottom and bold yellow with cyan dots at the top.

In early spring, it produces large amounts of medium-sized, amber blossoms with many layers of petals. They are very delicate and have a delicate scent that smells like marzipan.

In late summer it forms giant, light brown, tough-shelled seeds.

The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with patches of undergrowth between them.

It blooms only at night.
It is suitable for making paper
