Silverbark
Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This average-sized tree grows up to 37 meters (121.4 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 667 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a stocky, curved trunk covered in cracked, silver and white bark, and inside, the light wood is pine-coloured.
The small bunches of branches are short, rigid and upright and are covered with sparse amounts of leathery, tiny, very narrow and elongated leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are purple on the edges and olive at the center.
In late summer it forms tiny, dark brown, shelled seeds.
The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.
Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with clear space between them.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
