Bluebell
Flower type: Biennial (Stores water in its leaves)This large flower grows up to 3.7 feet (1.1 meters) tall. Its green stem is very thin and straight with a curved tip, and the miniature, moss green leaves are sickle shaped with irregular edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.
2 to 8 medium-sized flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 21 cm (8.3 inches) wide, with petals that are either drab blue or faded purple, with a yellow center. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 50 petals. They are very delicate.
It has a strong scent that smells like a damp log, and it has a fair amount of pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions. It is pollinated by the wind, but is also particularly attractive to bees.
It is suitable for making strong rope
It is said to be able to live for hundreds of years.
