Blackberry Creeper

Climbing plant type: Creeper (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This modest-sized creeper is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 26 feet (7.9 meters) and growing as high as 99 feet (30.2 meters).

It takes 3 years for the lime green stems to mature, by which point they each have a diameter of 2 inches (5 cm) and are thick and twisted.

The very thin, crispy leaves reach up to 1.1 feet (33 cm) in length. They are black on the edges and green at the center, and have irregular edges.

During late spring, the creeper produces a handful of small orange flowers, and during the mid-summer, after flowering, it produces copious amounts of tiny fruits.
