Brown Puffgrass

Grass type: Annual (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This short, brown grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The wide stalks grow in extensive patches that are strong and tough and they are exceptionally hardy.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a small, dark grey puff.

During the mid-autumn, it produces very little pollen; it does not cause many allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with a few tiny grains.

It is suitable for use as a construction material
The leaves are bland but very healthy.
It blooms only at night.
