Copperleaf

This massive shrub grows up to 14 feet (4.3 meters) tall and lives for around 14 years. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has dozens of branched, wonky stems covered in thick, silky, brown bark, and the wood inside is copper-coloured.

The branches trail down to the ground that and are covered with small bunches of tiny, 9 pointed, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are found in slate, white and sky blue varieties, sturdy and fuzzy.

It produces balls of small, hazel flowers with asymmetrical petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They fall easily and have an overpowering scent that smells like new carpet. In late winter it forms smallyellow, winged seeds that float and land far away.
