Caramelactus
Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)This small cactus grows up to 8 feet (2.4 meters) tall. The needle-like stem is caramel or red, and is covered in large amounts of flexible dark brown spines. The round body is yellow-green, and is covered in lots of rigid light grey spines.
It is very fast growing, taking 4 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with petals that are blood red at the sides and black at the center grows at the top, reappearing once every 2 years. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 20 petals. It has the faintest scent that smells like candle wax.
The cactus's skin is delicate, the subtle red flesh is rough, and the dull green sap is thin and causes severe cramps if consumed.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
It usually houses a colony of beneficial insects.
It blooms only at night.
