Burgundy Creeper

It takes 2 years for the burgundy stems to mature, by which point they can have a diameter of 3 inches (8 cm) and are smooth and waxy.
The perforated, leathery leaves reach up to 1.2 feet (36 cm) in length. They are brown and ashy yellow, and have rounded edges.
During late spring, the creeper produces thick bunches of average vivid orange flowers, and during the late autumn, after flowering, it produces excessive amounts of tiny fruits.
The stems are covered in large spikes.
