Twilight Tapestry Bloom

This small flower grows up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. Its green stems grow in bunches of 4 and are wispy and straight, and the large, green leaves are sickle shaped with serrated edges. Many leaves grow at the base of the stem, and more leaves alternate on the stem from about halfway up, up to the flower head.

Two medium-sized flowers sit at the end of the stem. The flowers are 3 cm (1.2 inches) wide, with alternating petals of silver and purple, with an aquamarine central disk. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 30 curved petals. They are very delicate.

It has the faintest scent that smells like vanilla, and it has lots of pollen. It is pollinated by a small species of bird.
