Bluegrass

This small, green grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The thin stalks grow in sparse patches that are strong and tough and they overwhelm an area rapidly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a medium-sized, blue spikelet.

During the late autumn, it produces very little pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with copious amounts of medium-sized grains.
