Bloodvine

Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This large tree grows up to 82 meters (269.0 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 65 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a narrow, straight trunk covered in ridged, black with white speckled bark, and inside, the flexible wood is dark brown.

The small clumps of branches are short stubs and are covered with thick bunches of waxy, miniature, pleated leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are lime on the sides and blood red at the center.

In late summer it forms small, red, shelled seeds.

The roots are shallow and widely spread, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with the space between filled with undergrowth.

It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
