Black Moss

This black moss is commonly found growing in medium-sized clumps In rainforests, and In moorlands.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps, and is slightly flexible.
When mature, emerald triangular capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release hundred of spores.
