Aquamarine Succulent

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This modest-sized leaf succulent grows up to 21 feet (6.4 meters) tall. The finger-like stem is gray, and is covered in thick sheets of rigid subtle purple spines. The rounded leaves are peach on the edges and aquamarine at the center. Large amounts of them grow on stocky, gray and cream branches that trail down across the ground. The leaves are delicate, and take little effort to detach.

It is very slow growing, taking 7 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a handful of flowers, with solid aquamarine petals and an azure central disk, grow at the top, reappearing after 2 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is made up of several petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight sphere. It has a delicate scent that smells like coconut.

The leaf succulent's skin is very thick, the blood red flesh is rubbery, and the blood red sap is thin.

It is suitable for use as a construction material
