Bronzevine

Flower type: Perennial (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This short flower grows up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. Its black or hazel stem is wispy, and the giant, bronze leaves are stiff, pointed with tattered edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.

Two medium-sized flowers sit at the end of the stem. The flowers are 2 cm (0.8 inches) wide, with petals that are red on the edges and dark brown at the center. The flower head is made up of dozens of petals in raised layers. They are very delicate.

It has a delicate scent that smells like bonfire smoke, and it has a modest amount of pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions. It is a self-pollinator, but is also particularly attractive to butterflies.

It is possible to grow it from cuttings.
