Coppervine
Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This modest-sized bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 49 feet (14.9 meters) and growing as high as 240 feet (73.2 meters).
It takes 4 years for the copper stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 5 inches (13 cm) and are rough and gnarled.
The pleated, smooth leaves reach up to 1.0 foot (30 cm) in length. They are solid bronze with purple dots, and have smooth edges.
During late spring, the bine produces many bunches of average lilac flowers, and during the mid-autumn, after flowering, it produces lots of small seed pods.
It is suitable for making strong rope
It can survive a very long time without water.
