Azureleaf
Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)This small leaf succulent grows up to 7 feet (2.1 meters) tall. The tapering stem is lime green, and is covered in copious amounts of rigid grey spines. The ripped-edged, slender, pointed leaves are solid azure or hazel, with blue splotches. Large amounts of them grow from the base in a spiral pattern. The leaves are hardy, and are very difficult to pull away.
It is steady-growing, taking 4 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a handful of flowers, with solid orange petals and a peach central disk, grow at the top, reappearing after 4 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is made up of several petals in raised layers. It has a delicate scent that smells like a newborn baby.
The leaf succulent's skin is nearly impenetrable, the white flesh is leathery, and the green sap is thin.
