Bloodgrass
Grass type: Perennial (Stores water in its leaves)This small, blood red grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The very thin stalks grow in small clumps that are delicate and they overwhelm an area rapidly.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a medium-sized, indigo tuft.
During the late summer, it produces very little pollen, and after flowering, it is left with plenty of large grains.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
It commonly grows in large patches.
