Bronzeleaf

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This big leaf succulent grows up to 95 feet (29.0 meters) tall. The wide stem is yellow-green, and is covered in lots of rigid bronze spines. The smooth-edged, very thick leaves are solid subtle orange with aquamarine lines. Large amounts of them grow from the base like rose petals. The leaves are delicate, but detach easily.

It is slow growing, taking 23 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with solid indigo petals decorated with sky blue lines and a dark grey central disk, grow at the top, reappearing once every 5 years. The flower head is shaped like a bowl with 13 raised, narrow petals. It has a delicate scent that smells like cherry.

The leaf succulent's skin is delicate, the washed-out red flesh is smooth, and the aquamarine sap is thin and has hallucinogenic properties.

It is often home to a particular bird species.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
