Carameltwig

Shrub type: Coniferous (Stores water in its stem)

This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 46 years. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has several wide, curved stems covered in delicate, waxy, white with black speckled bark, and the wood inside is white.

The branches trail down to the ground with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with large amounts of small, very thick, leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are a shade of yellow that gradient shifts to caramel at the top, strong and smooth.

It produces many tiny, black flowers with slender, pointed petals. They detach easily and have a delicate scent that smells like sweat. In late spring it forms smalllight brown, spiky-shelled seeds.


It is almost impossible to grow from cuttings.
It is suitable for making strong rope
