Purplegrass
Grass type: Annual (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This short, yellow-green grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The sickle shaped stalks grow in small clumps that are delicate.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a giant, ashy purple spikelet.
During the mid-summer, it produces an average amount of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with copious amounts of medium-sized grains.
All parts of the shrub are edible.
The stems are covered in large spikes.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
